Heating and Cooling Services for Your Home

Most of what we do is AC repair, furnace repair and the routine upkeep that keeps both from failing in the first place. When a system has reached the end of its life, we handle AC installation, furnace installation, heat pumps and ductless mini-splits, with free estimates on installations and replacements. We also take on commercial HVAC and new construction HVAC. For steady upkeep, our maintenance plans start from $14.99 a month and bundle regular tune-ups together with priority scheduling and discounts on any repairs.

A Local Company Focused on Making Equipment Last

HVAC Airway Heights is a heating and cooling company that believes most systems are replaced too soon. A furnace with a clean burner, a sound heat exchanger and a properly set gas pressure can run well for many years. An air conditioner with clean coils and the right refrigerant charge does not have to strain through every heat wave.

So our visits lean on care: changing filters before they choke airflow, clearing condensate drains before they back up, and replacing small electrical parts before they take out a motor. When something does break, we answer the phone any hour and treat the repair as a chance to stop the next one.

What Goes Into the Cost of HVAC Work

Every system we see is in a different state, so every bill is different. These are the things that change the number on your quote, and we walk you through each one before any tools come out.

You get a written quote before we start any job, and estimates for installations and replacements cost nothing. There are no emergency or after-hours fees for calls outside regular hours.

The part that failed
Cleaning a sooty flame sensor or changing a weak capacitor is quick and the part is cheap. A new blower motor, inducer motor or control board costs more for the part and takes more labor.
Leaks and refrigerant
If the refrigerant is low, something in the coil or line set is leaking. Tracking down and sealing that leak before recharging takes longer, but a recharge alone only lasts a few weeks.
Age of the equipment and how easy it is to reach
Parts for older units can be harder to find. A furnace squeezed into an attic or crawlspace takes more time than one standing in an open utility room.
Size and kind of new system
A replacement is priced by the capacity the house needs, the efficiency you pick and whether it is a furnace, central air, a heat pump or a mini-split. We size from the home itself rather than from the old unit.
Permits and electrical
Plenty of installs call for a permit and inspection, and some need a new breaker or disconnect. Those are written into the quote up front, not tacked on later.

What a Service Visit Looks Like

From your first call to the last test run, we keep you informed about what we are doing and the reason for it.

  1. 1

You call and tell us the symptoms

Describe what you are seeing: cold air when the heat is on, frost on the lines, rapid on-off cycling, clicking but no flame. The more we know, the better our chances of having the right parts on the first visit.

  2. 2

    We test instead of guessing

The technician reads voltage, amp draw, capacitor values and refrigerant pressures and walks through the ignition sequence. Then we show you the failed part and anything close behind it.

  3. 3

You sign off on the price

The repair and what it costs are in writing before we begin. Nothing outside that quote gets done unless you agree to it.

  4. 4

We fix it, test it and clean up

After the repair, the system runs a complete cycle while we check supply register temperatures and the safety controls. We take the old parts and packaging with us.

Why Local Homeowners Call Us Back

Heating and cooling equipment tends to break down one small part at a time. We spot those parts early and tell you what we find in everyday language.

  1. 01

We fix what caused the failure

When a condenser blows a fuse, a failing run capacitor or a pitted contactor is often behind it. We change the fuse and the part that blew it, so you do not need us again next week.

  2. 02

    Credentials you can look up

We are licensed and bonded in Washington and carry $1M general liability insurance, which protects you and your home while we work on your system.

  3. 03

A year of labor coverage on repairs

Every repair includes a 1-year labor warranty. If our work causes trouble within that year, we return and the labor is on us.

  4. 04

Prices you see ahead of time

Work starts only after you have a written quote. Any diagnostic fee is credited toward the repair if you go ahead with it.

  5. 05

Honest advice on fixing or replacing

We judge how much life is left by the system's age, the state of the compressor or heat exchanger and its repair history. Often the smart move is to keep a sound unit going, and when it is, we tell you.

What Homeowners Ask Us

Is it better to repair or replace my furnace or AC?

That depends on how old the unit is, what the repair costs and what shape the big parts, such as the compressor or heat exchanger, are in. When those are healthy, repairing usually gives you more for your money. When a major part has failed on an aging system, we put both choices in writing side by side.

Do nights and weekends cost more?

No. We have no emergency or after-hours fees. A furnace that stops at 2 a.m. in January is charged the same way as one that stops on a weekday afternoon.

Do your repairs have a warranty?

Yes, every repair carries a 1-year labor warranty. If the same repair gives you trouble within that year, we come back and the labor is free. Parts coverage is up to the manufacturer, and we spell that out on the quote.

How often does my system need a tune-up?

A yearly visit per system is a sensible starting point, with the furnace checked in early fall and the AC in spring. Heat pumps work in both seasons, so they do best with two visits a year. When summer smoke rolls in, look at your filter every month, because the fine particles fill it fast and choke airflow.

What do I get with a maintenance plan?

Plans begin at $14.99 a month and include scheduled tune-ups, a lower price on any repair and priority scheduling during busy stretches. Each tune-up covers cleaning, electrical checks, safety control testing and finding worn parts before they fail. Call us and we will tell you which plan suits the equipment in your home.

Can a new heat pump earn rebates or tax credits?

In many cases, yes. We help you claim Avista rebates and federal tax credits on heat pumps, starting with choosing equipment that qualifies and continuing through the model and efficiency details the forms require. Keep your install invoice and equipment specs, because the paperwork depends on them.

Do you charge to find out what is wrong?

Repair calls may carry a diagnostic fee, and that fee counts toward the repair when we do the work. Estimates on new installations and replacements are free.

Get Your System Looked At Before It Fails

A breakdown tonight or a tune-up you keep putting off, we handle both. You will see a written quote before any work begins.
