Emergency HVAC Repair in Airway Heights
If the furnace dies on a freezing night or the AC gives out during a heat wave, we will come at any hour. We track down the failed part, tell you what made it fail and hand you a written quote before starting, and there are no emergency or after-hours fees.

Emergency Repairs Aimed at the Real Problem
Emergency service is for problems that cannot sit until Monday: a house with no heat as the temperature falls into the teens, an upstairs pushing past 85 with no cooling, or a sound or smell that signals trouble. Our phone is answered at all hours, and the technician who comes out carries the parts that fail most often.
A breakdown usually has a cause behind it. A capacitor that blows has often spent years fighting a dirty condenser coil. A furnace that locks itself out may have a coated flame sensor or a clogged filter setting off the high-limit switch. We swap the failed part and also deal with what pushed it over the edge, so the fix lasts and the rest of the system holds up.
We are licensed and bonded in Washington and carry $1M general liability insurance, and a repair made in your home at night meets the same standard as a daytime appointment.
What an Emergency Visit Includes
Full diagnosis on site
We test voltage, amperage, gas pressure and safety switches to pin down the failed component. Approve the repair and the amount you paid for that diagnosis comes off your repair bill.
The price on paper before parts
Once the fault is found, we write out the part, the labor and the total and hand it to you. No repair starts until you have read that number and said yes.
Common parts on the truck
Capacitors, contactors, igniters, flame sensors, pressure switches and condenser fan motors cover most night calls. Stocking them means many systems are running again on the first visit.
Safety checks on gas furnaces
We check for cracked heat exchangers, blocked flues and improper combustion. If we find a carbon monoxide risk, we shut the unit down and tell you plainly why.
Root-cause notes
We tell you what wore the part out, such as a dirty coil, a sagging blower belt or a clogged condensate line, and what upkeep would prevent a repeat.
When a Call Should Not Wait Until Morning
The heat is out and it is freezing
When nights fall below freezing and the furnace will not light, your pipes and your household are at risk. Holding out until daylight is not worth it.
A gas or burning smell
If you smell rotten eggs, get out of the house and call the gas utility first. A lingering hot-wire or burning-dust smell points to a motor or wiring going bad and needs a look right away.
Grinding, banging or buzzing
Grinding is often a fan or blower motor bearing wearing out. A constant buzz from the outdoor unit while the fan sits still usually means a dead capacitor, which can take the compressor down too.
Frost on the refrigerant lines
Ice on the indoor coil or copper lines signals weak airflow or low refrigerant. Letting it keep running frozen can send liquid into the compressor and destroy it.
Water around the furnace
A blocked condensate line or a cracked drain pan can soak the floor and trip the float switch, which turns the whole system off.
What Happens After You Call
- 1
A few questions on the phone
We ask what the system is doing, anything you hear or smell, and the brand if you have it. If gas could be involved, we explain how to stay safe until the technician gets there.
- 2
Testing at your home
The technician checks the system one step at a time and shows you the part that failed, along with what broke and the reason.
- 3
Price in writing, then the fix
The cost is written down before we begin. After you say yes, we make the repair and run a complete heating or cooling cycle to make sure it holds.
- 4
Advice before we leave
We flag any part that is nearing failure and whether a tune-up under our Maintenance Plans would catch it sooner. Like every repair we do, this one has a 1-year labor warranty.
What Changes the Price of an Emergency Repair
There are no emergency or after-hours fees, so a 2 a.m. call is priced just like a 2 p.m. call. The total depends on the part, the labor and anything else we uncover, and you see it all on a written quote before work starts.
- Which part broke
- A flame sensor or capacitor is much cheaper than a compressor, control board or inducer motor. Parts made for one brand also cost more than universal ones.
- How old and worn the system is
- On older units, seized parts or corroded wiring can turn a quick swap into a bigger job. When repairing stops making sense, we say so.
- Work on the refrigerant
- When a leak needs finding and the system needs recharging, the refrigerant type and the amount required change the cost.
- Getting to the equipment
- An air handler in the attic or a furnace in a cramped crawlspace takes more labor than one in an open utility room.
Questions About Emergency Service
Something not covered here? (509) 236-5329
Is the price truly the same on nights and weekends?
Yes. We do not charge emergency or after-hours fees. The repair itself sets the price, and you get it in writing before we start.
What can I do before the technician arrives?
If the system is cycling on and off rapidly, frozen up or grinding, switch it off at the thermostat, since running it can ruin the motor or compressor. Make sure the filter is not clogged and the furnace door is shut tight, because a loose door stops the safety switch from allowing it to run. If there is a gas smell, leave the house and call the gas utility first.
Do I lose the diagnostic fee if I approve the repair?
No. The amount you paid for diagnosis goes toward the repair, so you are not charged for the visit twice.
Will you come out beyond Airway Heights?
We handle emergency calls in Airway Heights and nearby towns such as Medical Lake, Cheney and Spokane. Mention where you are when you call and we will confirm we can get there.
Does an emergency repair have a warranty?
Yes. Every repair we do, emergency or scheduled, includes a 1-year labor warranty. Hold on to the paperwork from the visit and call us if anything about the work concerns you during that year.
Would replacing the system be smarter than repairing it?
Sometimes, though one overnight breakdown is not a reason by itself. We base our answer on the system's age, the repair cost and the state of the compressor or heat exchanger. If replacement is the better choice, estimates for Furnace Installation and AC Installation are free.
No Heat or No Cooling Right Now?
Describe what the system is doing and we will send a technician with the parts to repair it. You find out the cause, get the price in writing and get a fix made to hold.
